People are different, and therefore,
have different expectations and
needs. To help make your trip a
success, please communicate your
ideas and wishes to
African Angler. There
is flexibility with most aspects of
a charter. So please, let us know
if you have any special requests.
POLICIES
We appreciate your business and
would like to make you aware of our
policies.
Reservation / Deposit Policy:
Booking your individual boat fishing
charters / shore angling excursions direct with
African Angler
requires a 40% deposit of the total
cost upon confirmation of a booking
when booking in advance. The
balance is then to be paid 4 weeks
prior to arrival in The Gambia.
Refund / Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel after
submitting a 40% deposit every
reasonable effort will be made to
reschedule your charter. If this is
not possible, a refundable deposit
will be given no less than 28
days
prior to your arrival in The Gambia.
If you cancel after this time period
the deposit will be forfeited.
Fishing
& Accommodation Packages :
Payment is required
in full upon confirmation on any of
our fishing & accommodation
packages offered on this web-site.
If
African Angler
cancels
your fishing excursion for any
reason a full refund will be given.
Fish have seasons too! & the Weather:
The Gambia goes through warm and
cold fronts, wind, weather, and
tides every day. All of these
factors effect the fishing on any
given day. You must rely on the
expertise of your captain and he
will take you to what is biting!!!!
African Angler will make the best of what Mother Nature dishes out. In
the unlikely event the sea
conditions are not suitable you will
not miss out on the fishing! The
creeks and bolongs (calm waters) of
the Gambia River are ideal fishing
grounds if this is the case.
The daily fish catches:
Gambia is still a developing country
and many of the fish species are
expensive for the locals to purchase
therefore,
the daily fish catches belong to the
Gambian captain of the boat.
However, if you wish to take a fish
back to have cooked for dinner you
are more than welcome - our captains
will advise which fish taste great!
