Tarpon Fishing November 2010
During his week's fishing
early in November, angler Stan Nabozny battled with 6 tarpon
- 3 fish (all between 150lbs &
220lbs) were leader-caught and
released. He also landed 3 Guinean Barracuda
weighing 32lb 11oz, 43lb 8oz, & 50lb
8oz.

Stan returned to Gambia again early December.
On
his first day's fishing he hooked-up and fought a
big fish for 90 mins on 20lb line -
the fish eventually pulled the hook
on the leader. Then opting
for 16lb line, he hooked-up and fought
another big fish to the boat after
fighting it for nearly two hours.
It was estimated at 180lbs and then
released.

Sjoerd Beugelink lands his first
tarpon. The fish, estimated at
200lbs, was released after the 1 hour 20min
fight.

boat also estimated at 200lbs.
Fighting time: 1hr 10mins. The
fish was released.
